Divorced Today

Divorce came through today. Feel hollow.

I feel for you, divorce is not something we all wanted, far from it, and even if this has to be the way we're not all going to feel jubilant on d-day

I'm new to this site and i'm sure you have gathered lots of support, draw on that now and the strength which has got you here.

There's so much help out there take all you need,

It's weird isn't it, I had no idea how I was supposed to feel when my absolute arrived and from what people told me about how they felt it seems to be a very individual reaction. How you feel is how you feel, it will pass.
I'm a long way down the road now and very happy but I still get 'odd' feelings now and then sometimes for a reason sometimes out of the blue I try to observe them and move on, they pass.

You often hear people say how they will celebrate it but in my experience they never do.

I think when it actually arrives empty, hollow, sense of failure and grieving are more common feelings. Especially as it was probably pronounced a week or two ago and they didn't even know.
