What age does the child have to be before you don’t need consent to take them on holiday abroad from the other parent? Both parents have parental responsibility, children live with mother

The child would need to 16 years old - as they would no longer be classed as a child.

If you have a Child Arrangements Order that states the children live with you, you an take the children abroad for up to 28 days without requiring agreement from the other parent, or permission from the court. If you don't have a CAO, or any order that specifically states you can take the children out of the UK (such as a Specific Issue ORder), then you will need agreement from the other parent, or apply to court for a SIO. divorce.wikivorce.com/guides-children/ag...c-issues-orders.html

Thank you. To confirm the age at which permission ceases for holidays abroad between parents, both of whom have parental responsibility, is 16, not 18?

There is no child arrangement order between us, and the children are all aged 16 and over
