My teacher spouse has provided me with their CETV Pension figure. My question is, does the CETV figure include the additional lump sum teachers get on their pension?

This figure will go onto a D81 form (summary financial disclosure). The pension is a teachers pension whereby upon retirement not only the spouse gets a yearly pension BUT also an additional lump sum. This one off lump sum could be an average £30,000

Does anyone know if the figure the spouse has provided i.e the CETV includes the lump sum of say £30,000. Obviously spouse is going to say yes, but how do I find out if it definitely includes the additional lump sum? So that a fair assessment can be made in the division. As you can see £30k is a fair amount of money. No pension sharing is involved but an overall picture is required.

You could ask to see the paperwork. That may make it clearer.
Pensionwise may be able to assist.
I am pretty sure the CETV is the value of all benefits including lump sum.
