Hi,
I need an urgent response if possible please.
FRH in January 2025, Court ordered sale of house at 260K to be put on market.
Full conduct of house given to ex. No body lives in the house as ex rent somewhere else
Share is 65/35 in benefit of ex. Just fing out ex has decrease the sale price significantly to 210K. Mortgage is not been paid by either party since 1 month. I do not agree with the sale price as it was agreed at 260K on the market, Thus I can accept concession if not too much difference.
Can I contact the estate agent or ex solicitor and express my disagreement on the sale price. Also which form do I need if I need to contact the family court. In addition we are still waiting for an appeal acceptance of the FRH from the Judge. I appealed against the decision as ex did not disclosed all bank accounts.
Many Thanks

Court ordered the initial marketing price or the minimum price to sell?

How long has it been on the market and what are similar houses being sold for?

If the mortgage isn’t being paid you want a quick sale.

Check the court order then find out your ex’s intentions. Perhaps they are happy to still let you have 35% of £260k and take the loss themselves.

Thank you for your reply.
The property has been on the market since January 2025.
The Court Order states MFH to be put on market for £260K as wanted by ex.
Mortgage not been paid as ex states cannot pay and income hidden, and I can't as not working and abroad.
It is in my understanding that ex cannot just reduce the price as wish as the share has been calculated on a £260K.
Nevertheless ex refused a buy off at a price of 210K with reserve of a survey before the FRH and was adamant for 260K.
I have contacted her solicitor for an update and waiting. any further input from your guys will be very helpful. Many thanks
