er...I bought a dog! Loyalty guaranteed with no prospect of either aggravation from ex or it making a claim on what''s left of my pension. Kids love it!! Good luck anyway!

Being able to think out loud on here has been invaluable, as has haring what you guys have done and experienced, thank you!

Telling my kids right now would make me feel better, but it won''t necessarily be a good thing for them, so this is a secret I''m going to keep a bit longer. I spoke to mr new about it and he said two things that struck me - for wisdom, and for the kinda guy he is. When I was telling him about how I felt bad not telling my daughter (who always asks me what I''ve done and who I''ve been with while she is at school or with her dad), he said..''do you tell her Santa Claus is real? Then this is the same sort of lie, and not even a lie, an omission.'' That made sense. And he also said, ''you and I need to know how real this relationship is first, that might take three months, it might take a year, or more, but until we know where we are, your kids don''t need to know about us. And I am interested in you, and finding out more about you, before I meet your children. I am in no rush.''

Problem solved. See? Talking solves everything.

Xx

Well, no one is without their flaws and complications, but yes, he really is.
