I have agreed a financial settlement with my spouse and her solicitor has sent the draft Consent Order to my solicitor for review (I am the respondent). My solicitor, who I have been using on an ad-hoc basis, wants £1500 plus VAT to review the documents before they are submitted to court. Is this is reasonable amount?
The settlement is a simple buy out of a property with no pensions, no children, no maintenance or other sums involved. We have agreed to the amount of the buy-out so I don't think the Consent Order will need to be amended. Should I contact a different solicitor to see how much they would charge?
