Together 18y, married 14. Husband has narcissistic tendancies and can be extremely charming and persuasive.
I put a third towards house and paid a third of mortgage whilst working plus a lump sum from inheritance. Retired to do grandchildren care 8y ago.
Husband, younger than me) has a high salary and one million plus in pensions and investments. I have very modest pension.
Husband v reluctant to release any of 'his hard earned money' or sell/ buy me out of the house (£850000)
I'm looking for a solicitor, preferably near Milton Keynes, who would be sympathetic towards my situation and not taken in by husband.
Any suggestions?

Hello. I do not think your solicitor has to be near you. Mine was not. Ultimately it is about finding the right solicitor for you. I do not think the Courts really look at who contributed what after 18 years. Yours will be considered a long marriage and I understand it all starts at 50/50. You may need a pension expert. From my experience the courts do not look at personality traits only the assets. I have my final hearing very soon. I will keep you updated.
