My friends ex husband is now in a relationship and living with his solicitor's Legal secretary. My friend has received a 7 page letter regarding their financial settlement on headed paper from the firm but with no signature on the letter.
1. How can she check this has come from the solicitor
2. should the letter be signed ?
3. Is this a conflict of interest as such, he is living with this woman but does rent another property and is registered as living at the rented property.
thank you

I can't see a conflict of interest.

In relation to the letter - it ought to be signed. I would send a letter/email asking if the letter was the intended final version as it is unsigned. The firm should respond accordingly unless the letter/email is intercepted which I assume is the concern?
