Quick rant
I think the daily limit set for private messages is set far too low, i know we should have a limit but i feel that it should not be so low on a site that prides itself on helping and the support of us people divorcing, we cannot say "sorry cant help you, site wont let me write to you because i write to much"
As i am a sad person who is always on here by 3am this morning had used my limit up (flippin chatroom playin up),now i find that when i wanted to PM a new member to support, i find i cannot send any more.
Personaly i think it needs a few more and maybe a counter to let you know how many you have left to be used

Hello paulm620,
I said something similar last week but the moderators replied that the daily limit is there to stop spammers.

The limit on the number of PM members can send each day is an anti-spam measure, meaning that Wikivorce members rarely receive spam pms. Before the limit, spam PMs sent to hundreds, if not thousands of our members happened fairly often. This would often cause distress to our members, and a lot of work for our Technical guys.

You can keep count of how many PMs you have sent by simply accessing your "sent" box and counting how many you have sent that day. You could always offer to support your friends via email, which offers unlimited numbers per day.

I appreciate the need for one-to-one support, but the forum is also a great place to support others, and it means that many more benefit from your advice and support.
