Hi

Whenever I tried joining to chat room, "advice room" is always empty..
Even I really wanted to ask something..then I felt so guilty to interrupt or disturb people who are chatting/enjoy at "meeting room" when I ask something.
... I am sorry:blush:
Even some people replied (than you !:)) but can't continue to ask or reply .. just feel so guilty and feel totaly "black sheep".
I wish if someone is in the chat room "divorce advice room" it would be nice.. (even though not always very legal issue, just share or tell experience still a big help)

thank you for taking your time to read.

Hiya Moca hun.
When in chat dont you ever, ever feel like in asking a question or stateing how you feel will stop others from "having their fun". Ok, so the chatroom is used a lot by people kicking up their heels and having a laugh or a giggle to take their minds off things, but the important thing to remember is we are all here for one reason, and one reason only.......support! You need it, you ask for it. Rest assured, no-one is going to blank you because you need support or advice, so ask away.
Hope this helps.

From the home page, there are only links to old chat and new chat. Perhaps you could put links on the home page to Lobby, Lounge and Advice Centre. Most peeps could go straight to the Lounge for their fun and bypass the Lobby completely. Newbies or people with queries could go straight to their intended room. Also, I only get a list of users in the room I am currently in, could a moderators ID not automatically open up all room lists of users, without being in the room. Just so we don't miss someone sat by themselves.

Hi,
Chatting is keeping me nearly sane and I thank all those who have helped me. Deffo male/female indicators is a great idea. More emoticons maybe too to add to the fun (sometimes) too.

Keep up the good job!

Thank you for your reply.

just i didn't want to disturb people who enjoy chatting by my question but the other hand I was totaly in the dark..didn't know what I had to do, what I shouldn't...
The best thing will be writing a post but ..for me , sometimes it is not ideal because for just in case if my husband read the post..

I always really appriciate all your support..
Thank you.

To quickly access a users profile in chat type -

/whois username (clicking on the icon to the left of their name in the room list will fill the username in for you)

or if the user has left type -

/whowas username ( make sure you get the username correct incuding capitalisation and any numbers)

so
/whowas Tetleys
will bring my profile up even if I am not in the chatroom at the time.

So something happened in chat last week & someone got banned. Don't know a thing about it. But got me thinking.

Since the debate & changes in June there have been so many newbies coming in to chat who don't know the rules & a few old hands who don't seem to want to help them.

Someone suggested the more experienced users could buddy up with newbies & guide them through the different areas.

Perhaps it could be made clearer on the forum ranking system who is new & who is more experienced.
Maybe the term 'fresh boarder'could be changed to new user so we are more aware who might need immediate help?
