A McKenzie friend could be a friend or family member to provide you with moral support, a voluntary McKenzie friend from a charity or a institute who don’t usually charge for their support or a fee charging McKenzie friend who you pay to support you through your court proceedings.. 
A McKenzie friend will help and support you by –

A McKenzie friend can’t speak in court or help you with your case outside of court, a McKenzie friend is simply there to offer you support during your court case not to do any legal work for you.
