Hi,

I joined this site today.
My wife of 18 years has decided an alternative lifestyle makes her happier than being a conventional wife to me. I intend blogging my way through my divorce and have posted today. I'll elaborate as I go.

I have decided to look at things positively.

Two nights ago we were driving back from a restaurant as a family and a song came on the radio. It was Gabrielle's 'Out of Reach'.
It struck a chord with me. On our way home we stopped off at Asda and they had Gabrielle's Greatest Hits which is playing as I type....cheesy heh?? LOL

My user name projects me forward to a time when I hope my heart will be "In Reach" and the thread title is the last line of the song....big cheese:)

The petition has been submitted but my wife has not yet been served.

Welcome to Wikivorce inreach,

it sounds from your post as though you are coping with this pretty well so far.

Though dont be suprised if every now and again you get a little down - that is to be expected.

Hopefully you can make some new friends on the site and find support both on the legal/technical side of this process and on the emotional/relationship side.

Good luck with it all.

See you around im sure!!

cheers
DBNO

Hello Inreach
I had the same experience when my husband left 3 years ago. Certain songs struck a chord, and in a way these songs become like familiar friends, even though some of them made me cry. I know how you are feeling as a lot of us have been there, and just know that one day you will feel better, and ready to move on.

Hello Inreach

That particular song helped me through the rough time following the end of a 10 year relationship, so understand why it has struck a cord with you too.
Positive thinking is rewarding, and helps to stop seeing only the negatives. Stay strong, and you will reach the end in time. I find that taking it one day at a time works for me, enjoy the good days, and try to cope with the bad ones.
Blogging is a great release, some find it hard to talk openly about how they feel, and their emotions, I hope that you find blogging useful in many ways.

Take Care

Ruby

Thank you for the comments.
My situation started several weeks ago and I've post a couple of blog entries which take me from the Friday I found out to the Saturday but hopefully I'll catch up to date.
I'm not sure if reliving it is the best thing but so far I've felt better for posting on the blog.

I will be travelling away, to Egypt again, next week. The cd was bought last week and I feel vunerable that the wife will get hold of it and play it on a liaison...is there nothing sacred!
