We are a long way from exchanging form E - it could still take many months. I do need the financial support. What should I do in these circumstances?

There needs to be a reasonable chance of success with MPS, or you risk costs, bear in mind it costs the tax payer lots of money to keep judges and court staff working ect.

Form E doesn''t take long to complete and exchange, or you could just ask for his income and monthly needs, if he refuses then yes MPS may be the only option, it''s not to be taken lightly though, court never is.

Do you know what he earns?, as a rough guide he needs to be taking home 2k +.

Yes, he earns around 2.5k and has been paying the mortgage on th fh which is around £400 per month. His accommodation costs are probably around £700 per month. Do you have any idea whether an application would be successful?

Anything I say would be a poke in the dark with a stick, a lawyer will ask many questions before offering an opinion, if you look under service at the top of the page there is a financial consultation, it''s a couple of hundred quid.
