What are we each entitled to in our divorce settlement?

What does the law say about how to split the house, how to share pensions and other assets, and how much maintenance is payable.

What steps can we take to reach a fair agreement?

The four basic steps to reaching an agreement on divorce finances are: disclosure, getting advice, negotiating and implementing a Consent Order.

What is a Consent Order and why do we need one?

A Consent Order is a legally binding document that finalises a divorcing couple's agreement on property, pensions and other assets.

No, I didn't contact them. It's being followed up by the applicant (my ex's) solicitor. Apparently when last contacted a week ago, BSE said it wasn't ready, but gave no time frame. If athled50 above is right, it's now 6 months, which is on top of the 5 months it took them from submission to the time the legal team looked at it. So effectively, an 11 month wait from submission to nisi.

My decree nisi just came through in the post today, 11.04.22. That's 18 weeks from the day they 'receive it', and 40 weeks from the date it was submitted.

Not sure. It says certificate of entitlement, but it is dated 07.12.2021. It also says that a decree will be pronounced on 11.04.2021 at 10am in BSE, which is today, about 20 minutes after the letter arrived.
