If your mother has left it in trust for your children then it doesn’t belong to you so your ex has no claim to any of it.

Presumably your mother has given you the right to live in it?

You still don’t own it though. If you chose not to live in it you couldn’t take a cash alternative. You can’t sell it.

She can’t claim something that isn’t yours.
