I'm a huge fan of Michael Connolly, an American writer. Harry Bosch is one of the detective he uses, hes a great character, always bending the rules.
I will admit I havent read any of this latest ones, I will have to suss them out.

Just read :
Kite Runner
A Thousand Splendid Suns
The Boy in the Striped Pyjamas
Memory Keepers Daughter

And lots of Marian Keyes and Maeve Binchy books.

Good for side tracking from everything else that is going on.

I love to read and use the library and their book club too.

I've found that I never fail with a Richard and Judy recommendation but do like to be stretched too, hence the book club.

One of my recent favourites was A Thousand Splendid Suns by Khaled Hosseini, the R&J winner for 2008.

Boy, if we think we've had it bad, try walking a mile in Mariam's shoes, a young wife in Afghanistan!

The Book Thief, The Boy in the Striped Pyjamas, another two I've recently enjoyed.

I would love an extra day slotting into my week so that I could do nothing but read, I never seem to have enough time. I carry a book everywhere so that if I'm ever kept waiting e.g. doctor's, then it's quality time to read. I've even read in traffic jams, much to the annoyance of the car behind me!

I loved all those books as well.

I too carry a book everywhere with me just in case I get a spare 5 minutes to read.

I'm an avid reader and can at times get through 5 books in a week. My favourite genre is thrillers but I'll read almost anything except for things like Mills and Boon.
