Hi,

Does anyone know if the CSA include salary sacrifice payments, to work out child maintenance ?

Yes at present the only deductions they allow on a pay slip are tax, NI and pension contributions.

This may change with the gross scheme as salary sacrifices will no longer be visible.

As Wyspecial said on a P60 any income that is part of salary sacrifrice won''t show so can''t be included in calculations.

Are pension deductions only those made from salary, rather than private pension scheme payments?

Well, I pay into it myself, as a direct debit monthly.

Can an employer pay them directly? Never thought of that route.

No both are allowed. You just need to let them know.

Ahh...so If I upped my privately paid pension contributins from £40 to £200...

I thought from reading that only wage slip deductions were used. Interesting
