Well, although that may be the case now... I would think about the future - is there anything can be done about that in the longer term?

Ceasing to pay to maintain her while she is still in study will probably fan the flames.

Maintaining her I have done all the time since I split with her mother, leaving me with very little money, I am struggeling even more now with the credit crunch, if I am not careful I will be not able to pay my mortgage & then be homeless, I would only stop maintaining if legally allowed - I know her mother's rough financial state & it is far better then mine - He husband earns about 3 times what I do & she doesn't have to work.
