Just had two ladies arrive on my doorstep purporting to come from the CSA - no prior notice that they were coming at all. They obviously were (although they didn't offer any ID, and I was rather taken aback by them turning up).

Is this sort of thing allowed?

Also, they've said I'm in arrears to the tune of £120 despite the last correspondence I had with them was to inform them that my JSA stopped in July 2009 and I was not earning.

What an interesting week!

Elle,

Er, yes I did. Was so surprised, and didn't want to appear uncooperative.

Fab,

Cant say I blame you...been there got the the t-shirt and all matching garb...and understand from your situ why you did let them in...we live and learn. Were they for real, if not hmmmmm, if so....well the usual standard of professionalism we come to accept as the norm from these agencies! Wish you well Fab,

What did they come round for? Can't they write or phone?

Find it hard to believe Fab - my stbx owes a lot more than that (and there are plenty of people on here who will testify to being owed thousands) and I'm not aware he's had a visit. I'm pretty sure I'd know about it if he had...will be interesting to see other responses. Call them first thing Monday and see what they say.

mumtoboys,

the csa visited me within days of my being housed after months of homelessness...it was a joy to offer them
a) a seat on my mattress on the floor (my then only piece of "furniture"
b) a cup of water between them as i had no kettle and only one cup
c)my thanks for their visitas it reassured me our kids best interests were being addressed

Oh I look back in laughter now...lol
