Is CM 20% of basic income or includes extras?

Hello
Currently separated and waiting a Petition to be served - which I really don't mind at all.

2 kids at fee paying school which we could agree to pay a child each to continue approx £875 each a month each.

I also would agree to pay CM...but is the calcuation based on basic pay. The reason I ask is that I get car allowance payment, so is that included in the CM calc or do I just base it on basic pay?

We have a marital home which I am happy for them to continue to live in but I will want 30/40% claim on the asset, say when the children are 18?
Does that sound OK?
Any advice would be helpful.

Cheers
Paul

Thanks, just done that but does NET mean after voluntary deductions such as month outgoings from source eg company sharesave schemes, Healthcare or are they taken into account.

I get a NET amount - which is paid into my bank account, so do I include them or exclude them in my CM calculations.

cheers
Paul

If your car allowance is taxed then it will be included in the calculation.

Hi
To me net income is 'take home pay' you could ring CSA to clarify.

According to the new changes to gross salary scheme company cars and bonuses could be included in the calculation of gross salary.

These changes are due to come into effect during 2011 but any existing calculation (on the old scheme) can be reviewed after 12 months.

All cases will be transferred across to the gross salary scheme eventually.

Information about gross income will be taken directly from HMRC, not self disclosure.

The calculation is based on the money you receive after tax national insurance and pension contributions.
