Hi AM,
In my opinion the money is for overall upkeep and 'looking after' expenses for a child, so the food and utilities is part of this.
I think your proposals to spend some on her new outfits and food and gas and electric are spot on!
If you were planning on spending the money on your own boozy night out - then I would take a different opinion
Don't feel guilty for what you intend to do, I think its the right thing!
