Yes they do count kids in new household but they don't get a 20% allowance, it is just advertised that way.

If CM is being paid for two children it is 20% of net income, if there are two children in the new household 20% is deducted before the formula is applied so you will get 20% of 80%, ie 16%. WTC are deemed to be the income of the higher earner of the couple claiming them so may well be taken into account.

I am a little confused by your post about 16%?

The wftc is what i assume his partner claims and when he moves in i do not believe they will admit to them he lives there. But he will tell the csa as the less he has to pay me the better for him

thanks

If you have 2 kids that he is paying for then his assessment will be 20% of net income. So if he earns £100 per week you would get £20 for your children leaving him £80.

If there are 2 children living with him they will allow 20% for them then assess him on the remainder.

£100 less 20%= £80 to be assessed.

20% of £80 is £16 which you will get for your kids.

There are adjustments for overnight stays but thats the simplistic view.

WTC are deemed to be the income of the higher wage earner if claimed as a couple so if that is him they will include them in his assessable income.

If they claim WTC as a couple then CSA will know about it as they have access to the data. The children wont be taken into account if they are not a couple.

If you are concerned that they are living as a couple and fraudelently claiming WTC as they have not mentioned the change in circumsatnces then you could always report this, anonomously if you prefer.

If it is possible to come to an amicable agreement a ditch the CSA my advice would be to do that. I'm a long standing member of the CSA club and it is an agency not fit for purpose.
