The current CSA rules are a child is eligible for CSA purposes until the age of 19 if they are continuing a full time "non advanced" course (A level standard or below.) This has been raised to 20 years of age to bring it in line with Child Benefit. It won't apply to students in higher education.

However, in Scotland there is a general obligation for all parents to support their offspring whilst in education or training from the age of 18-25 years of age (s1 Family Law (Scotland) Act 1985)
