Sorry guys - 1 more thing. It asks if I've received any PRP or bonus in the last 52 weeks. I did in March 2010. Will I be paying her a percentage of that as well, even though we had a different agreement in place for reasons at that time?

(I also used the bonus to move to a house neaerer for them!)

Child support under the CSA is a blunt instrument and what you or indeed your ex choose to spend on clothes, mortgage etc over and above the assessed amount is voluntary and not taken into account.

The basic calculation is usually based on a percentage of your average income minus deductions for the average number of overnight stays over the last year - see calculator at the CM Options website.

If there is a significant change of circumstance either party may ask for them to be taken into account. That means if the overnights have been reduced you may need to pay for more or if your income had decreased you would pay less. When contact is reinstated you can ask for reassessment.

The CSA has no jurisdiction over school fees. YOu would still be liable for them separately if there is court order for school fees.

Thanks Fiona

I have been thinking about this today (all day). Basically my ex has reduced their time with me from about 50% overall to 2 nights out of 7. They ahve asked for a diary of times and as my ex and I have not agreed on the 2 nights out of 7 (residency order being submitted ny me on Mon), should I just say no agreement is in place but give the diary over a year with a covering note? It will work out 40-50% of time.

One more thing - On the Shared Residency Application I state that one of the reasons that I am applying is because she has changed their routine over the last few weeks. Should I mention that this has coincided with her putting in a new ap to the CSA?

It seems to show the picture of why she wants the children to sleep at hers an extra 2 nights a week (when they are nights when she is not there to look after the children fully as she leaves for work before they get up). It certainly isn't to look after them or spend time with them!

I am worried because the extra £250 a month this could cost me is the difference of me keeping this house (the family home). It's there only proper home as she does not own or rent a house now but lives with her mum and brother as well as the children. The home with just the three of us really is just ours!

( a tad emotional but sure you understand)!!

Thanks from Mark

(Will they also make me pay her extra for a bonus I received in March 2010?)
