thankyou all for your support, advice, and kind words....its all greatly appreciated. I agree, divorce does seem to bring out peoples true colours.... when my oldest daughter was born i let her father walk away with no financial support or responsibility to her....because i was young, proud and foolish.... i am now none of those things. However, my husband seems to be affronted by the fact that he never had any financial obligation, and seems to think that its ok for him to walk away too....as i said....no longer young, proud, or foolish.... xxx

How awful this must be for you. I was 13 when I discovered that my "dad" was in fact my step dad - ironically in very similar circumstances, but I loved my mum for making me realise my half brothers were my brothers, and my "stepdad" wasnt worth a singel thing when he refused to help her with me in any way.

We wanted for a lot in terms of financial needs, but never for love, and I never forgot that my mum held our family together.

He will live to regret that decision I am certain

Big hugs xxx
