Driven I think you and I live a parallel life!

I have just had to buy all new school kit as my 15 year old is growing fast. I tried to get another year out of his p.e kit but no such luck! So you like me have just spent over £200 and think ex should contribute.....

Ooh look.....a flying pig......

Ladies you need to take a leaf out the ex harridans book
"How to be the world''s best Mum"

Chapter 13.- School Uniform.
When your daughter goes to secondary school purchase a blazer for aged 16. That way you never have to buy another one.

School shoes literally send them out in the snow with their shoes falling apart so dad has to buy them another pair.

School Coat... literally have them freezing to death so Dad has to buy them another one.

School blouses..... have them too small and worn so long they look threadbare so that Dad has to buy them new ones.

School Skirt see the school blazer trick.

This will free up lots of funds to sit in the free house supplied by Dad and spend the cm on more holidays than Judith Chalmers. Pub every night with Bazza whilst your kids change their name by deed pole to Macauley Caulkin.

C''mon ladies you really must use all these useful tips I''m passing on to you.

All the best
HRH xx

Lol haway that is ok but I am already buying age 15 clothes for a 10 year old!!! Plus stbx only wears clothes that are 15 years old anyway so I don''t think that trick will wash although when little one reached 6ft which at this rate will be in a few weeks I will send him to school in a basketball kit and just make out that he is trying out for the Harlem Globe Trotters!!

Update on this
I had written to stbx about school uniform and also about an expensive school trip £175 3 days away asking him to contribute half I had included copies of all receipts for uniform so he could see I wasn''t exaggerating the costs etc. had a letter back from his solicitor stating he wouldn''t be contributing and that he wasn''t a meal ticket.

Fine I hadn''t written to his solicitor about the costs just to him directly but if he wants to spend £30 on a letter to tell me no then fair enough. I hadn''t expected him to pay anyway

I have had this recently too Driven.
In August I paid out £200 by the time I paid for uniform, shoes, bags, pens etc.
I gave up even asking my ex for anything as last year I had asked him to buy the new PE sweatshirt for him.He took our son to the shop looked at it....then came home with nothing and he knew he needed it that week!
Best thing to do is not to rely on them for anything that way you cant be let down.

I know I wouldn''t mind but school told me to approach him over the trip as they had spoken to him and he had told them that he would pay half towards it!! I will show them the letter on Monday. I will pay for it I don''t mind I just thinks it''s funny that it cost me the price if a stamp to ask whereas it has cost him £30 for the letter on top of the time and money it cost him to discuss it with his solicitor it probably would have been cheaper to pay the half of the costs
