Hi Poppy

Yes, the CSA are hopeless.

I completely devoted at least 1 week a year for 15 years to calling, writting and e mailing the CSA.

End result, was given around £250 in maintinence in total. This is a father who was working in a bank and had minimal outgoings. Over a 15 year period.
Am owed at least 20k.
And the best bit is, after she turned 18 ......I recieved a call saying he had OVERPAID by £50 and would I return it!

YES, they are hopeless. The only times I made any progress at all were when I got to talk to a particular person alot and built up a personal relationship with them.

Good luck, you need it, Fade x

p.s. Please free free to quote this example if you make a complaint. Will give you the case no. Is mad but true.

Poppy, you need to be aware that under s28(1)a MCA1973 the court cannot impose any maintenance order beginning earlier than the date of the making of an application for the order.

Hiya

I thought that the date of the making of the application for the order would be the date of application for Ancillary Relief (Form A)

( which would mean in my case the order would cover his lost earnings compensation for redundancy and sickness which were received after I applied for ancillary relief but before I applied to CSA....)

or is that not the date ?

Thanks for your time Fiona it is very much appreciated
