Although she has said take anything I want except the white goods this contradicts what her Sol''s letter offered which was I take nothing in rtn for not having to pay a £1k credit debt. It would certainly cost more than £1k to furnish a new place.

I will try to follow all the good wiki''s advice above and get clarification on the offer to take what I want (would her sol need to clarify this?) then go through the house identifying what I could reasonably take without it effecting my children.

I know what sort of reception and look I''d get  if I suggested to her she use freecycle to replace what I would like to take.
