I very much doubt he can register anything with the land registry. My ex wife registered an interested in my house during our divorce, I was about to remove this once my degree Absolute came through. You might want to seek specialist advice on the matter but as you never married then you should be fine.

If it is that simple to register an interest then the law is an ass & people would be doing left right & centre.

Frankly, Dazedconfused, I think his case is very weak.

If you are named as the sole owner,the presumption is that you are sole owner of the property.

If he wants to claim otherwise, the onus is on him to establish a beneficial interest.

It is well settled that simply contributing to household expenses does not, of itself, establish a beneficial interest . It needs to be something
like paying for hone improvements, carrying them out if he's a DIY freak, or making a contribution towards the deposit.
