Shame you cannot attend YA. I bought a potato especially for you. What shall I do with it now?

Hi LiB!

Aww that is so kind of you, thank you!

Could you give it to f03 please, he is authorised to receive it in exactly the same way as I would!

Be good!

Thank you for your authority to receive any relevant potatoes in the same manner as you would.

However, I would like it pointed out that I receive potatoes (as I would with any root vegetable) in a manner of my own chosing. I hate to follow the crowd in matters like this.

On the subject of hugging men and kissing the hands of women, I will happily oblige in the fashion you have outlined.

Thanks

Father of Three

f03,

I leave you with total discretion as to how to receive potatoes. I confess that I am not up with the latest techniques in vegetable receiving etiquette as practised south of the river.

In the matter of kissing ladies' hands, I would however remind you (admittedly perhaps unnecessarily) that one's tongue should be firmly restrained within in one's mouth and the lady's hand should remain outside of one's mouth. The sucking of fingers is not generally accepted as a form of polite greeting in any culture.

I shall instruct in the manner of toe sucking should the occasion arise.

You are most welcome,

YA
