Soups are great and really easy. I bulk do them and then freeze the excess. There are lots of different ones on my freezer at the moment. My current favourite is butternut squash and pear.

This thread is making me feel very hungry ;)

Bought one very large chicken cut it into the following portions:

(1) Legs put into a re-seal-able bag with slices of lemon, fresh thyme, some garlic, salt and pepper and frozen

(2) wings, added to two other pairs of wings in freezer which will eventually make a meal of sticky chicken wings.

(3) One large breast cut into slivers and placed in a bag with a tablespoon of light soy sauce, a tablespoon of dry sherry, and a tablespoon of Chinese five spice, some crushed ginger and some crushed garlic also frozen

(4) The other breast cut into chunks and placed on skewers with my own barbecue sauce consisting of tomato sauce, Worcester sauce, paprika, cayenne pepper, crushed garlic, sunflower oil, a spoonful of dark brown sugar and salt and pepper.

The carcase has been frozen as well and will be used to make stock/soup. All ready to defrost and make meals in a hurry.

Pot noodle ( other brands available)

Biol kettle, one cup of water, open lid, pour to fill level, close foil, leave 2 minutes.

Open lid, stir, add dodgy sauce to taste, add water if needed (no need to boil again) close lid, count to 60, serve with a cuppa.

No washing up required, just lick the fork.
