I hope that you find this site as useful as we all do. You have quite a tricky set of circumstances to deal with there don't you?
I don't know how it works, but we do have some good people on here who will pick up your question :)

I would think that unless an agreement was drawn up initially or their names are on the deeds, then they cannot force a sale. They cannot default I take it, as it appears they didn't put in their share by taking out a mortage to do so?

At least your partner will be at uni some of the time, I know this does't help loads, but some on here have had to co-habit and see each other on a daily basis until matters are resolved.

In the interim while waiting for a response to your other post, you could while away some time browsing other posts in the forum here, it may have a similar situation to yours.
