(((((((Damsel)))))))

You sound very positive damsel, considering how recent all this has been. I hope things work out for you, one way or another.

Hello Damsel,

A month and a bit ago my wife (s2bx) pretty much did the same thing. From one day to the next our 7 year marriage was over. It hit me hard as I was not expecting it - had many plans for the future including a holiday (paid for) in August! She too sent me the divorce papers a week later. I couldn't eat for days and I lost weight as well.

All I can recommend is that you look after yourself and seek counseling. It helped me a great deal. I also turned to my family and friends who are incredibly supportive. I have come to realize that I am better off with out her. I too made many compromises to keep the relationship going. In the end I realized she was married to her career.

I hope you pull through. I though I was going to die. Now I feel much, much better. The empty gloom that I thought would be my future now has shape and form. I can see myself starting a new life and this is after one month of mourning!

Lots of hugs,

Moon
