I'd read somewhere that Contesting a Will needs to be done within three years of the Death, so I hope you have a specialist acting for you already.

I also read that Contesting a Will as a divorcing wife, would involve the same fight as an Ancillary Relief Case. (Except now it's you vs. the Estate; assuming his son is new named next-of-kin)?

Thanks for your advice. The executor so far has got us some terrible fixes. The death certificate they incorrectly declared that we were divorced. The utility bills were redirected to the solicitor dealing with the probate and we have been informed that we are in court ata n adjourned hearing for non payment of the council tax when we have not received any bills or summons.

Don't fret too much re: the Council Tax. I had the same when my mother died; and heard from the council that the court application is an automated response if no payment received. Once they had heard from me, they cancelled the Hearing.
