few questions would pension stop on co-habitation or just if i remarried ?
also can you give me rough cost guide as to getting new value on pension, and would my share of this be covered by legal aid which i am claiming?
thanks

Hi,

I believe attachment ceases only on remarriage, not co-habiting. You should ask your solicitor to go through all its features.

Report prices:

Quick actuarial valuation, plus reconciliation to CETV £50+VAT*
Full actuarial valuation, from £475+VAT
pension sharing or attachment report, from £600+VAT

I've used BDM prices, there are other providers who do full reports but prices similar. You don't need a valuation report if you're pension sharing / attaching.

* Is only from BDM and is our Express Pension Valuation. It relies on the data you provide and therefore could be challenged if used in court - however it shows you what the real value should be and justifies (you, him, the judge) spending the money on a full report.

I believe that expert witness reports are covered by legal aid, though again check with your solicitor as it may only cover jointly instructed reports.

Hope that helps
