Hi All,
Just wanted some advice. My ex sees the kids every fortnight at a contact center due to DV etc. Recently the court ordered that he can take them out of the center and bring them back there for collection. He has returned them late nearly every time, and during those 10-20 minutes my heart is in my throat and my stomach churns with worry. From next week he is supposed to have them longer, which will be after the Contact center closes, and handover is at a pre-arranged public place.
My question is, what do I do if he is late? Should I call the police? I do have a real fear that he might do something stupid just to get back at me...
Grateful for any advice... Thanks.

Hi
I can understand that it would be worrying but I think you need to perhaps are building this up too much in your mind. A 10-20 minute delay returning after contact could simply be due to traffic conditions or one of the kids taking longer to get their things together etc.
You could ask that if he is running late that he send you a txt message to let you know. You could also keep a diary log of each time he is late returning in case you need to refer back to in in future.

I can understand exactly how you feel as ive been through this on a number of occasions.
I totally agree with Lostboy...give a slot of 20 minutes and ask for a text message.
I think he would be a fool to return them late.
If he wont communicate with you ask your solicitor to send a letter outlining your concerns on this...please though try not to worry and I know easier said then done.xx
