Hi,

I will get a performance related bonus at the end of the year through my hard work.

Does the CSA take this into account?

At the moment I am paying 15% of my net salary nearly £800 per month which was agreed between us through the courts. In April i will have to show my P60 to show what my net salary is so that she can take more off me if i have not paid enough.

Yes CSA take any annual bonus into account. They spread it over the 12 month period.

Presumably though you are not paying via CSA if you need to show your P60

This is not annual bonus, its PERFORMANCE BONUS. So if i dont work hard and make certain business goals i dont get anything?

Surely that is different?

no not going through CSA yet, it was agreed on Consent Order that it was 15% of my net salary.

No it is no different whatsoever. By the same score if you work hard and get promoted to a higher salary you pay more via CSA.

Easiest rule of thumb is if something is taxable then it is included in CSA calculations.

Is it agreed that you will show your ex your P60 every year?

How long has the court order been in place? Unfortunately when there is a court order "net salary" is ambiguous unless the order defines what salary means. That can cause problems and there are good reasons to refer to the child maintenance Service rules for guidance about what constitutes income.

Either party can apply to the Child Maintenance Service after 12 months of the date of the order and the order ceases to have any effect with regard to CM. The exceptions to this are when the order predates March 2003, one parent lives abroad, there are step children or over 18s in education.

The Child Maintenance Service rather than the CSA handles new applications and the CMS calculation is based on taxable income from information held by HMRC ie tax returns. If an application was to be made to the CMS the rate is based on a percentage of your gross income. See the CMS calculator on the CM Options website.

What a load of rubbish. So the harder i work for my performance the more money B***h gets. And to make matters worse has stopped me from seeing my child.....

Consent order ended and waiting on P60 this April so the money grabbing thing can get more money from me.

So not only does she get all the houses and leaves me with nothing, I have to pay her extorionatly..... and getting holiday rent from one of the houses in France.....

and there are fathers out there get away without paying.... how the hell does that work.

Not sodding fair.

Very sad. You are paying child support, not maintenance. You''d have to pay that even if your ex-wife marries a millionaire, and whether or not you have contact with your child. So live with it and deakl with your bitterness, or if you can''t, then get some counselling.

If you are having problems seeing your child, that''s a separate issue from the finances, although, again, personal counselling may assist with your feelings about that also.

You should consider offering to go to Family mediation with your ex to deal with this problem about your not seeing the child.

Good luck.
