Quick question
I am resident parent. Ex pays minimum child support.
Both ex and I work 32 hours. I have arranged my hours so I can pick daughter up from school directly half of time. Ex refuses to alter his working hours to do any pick up and insists I pay for after school club for her so he can stay at work, primarily because he doesn''t want to get up earlier or stay at work later, on other days so he can socialise.

In short, ex has kids one night midweek. Who is responsible for the cost of after school club ?

I think if the childcare is required during your contact time then its your responsibility, so childcare costs would have to come out of the maintenance the other parent pays.

I''m confused....
The cost is incurred during his contact time...
But he pays me. Via CMS?
So do I take it out of what he pays me? Or should he pay "in addition" ?

I''m afraid it isn''t black and white because you are both responsible for your daughter on the same day. Do you have an informal agreement or a court order stating what time the child is available for contact? It could be either from the time school finishes or from the time your ex gets home from work.

If the childcare is required during his contact time then it should be his responsibility, however it will depend on your agreement and what time he collects your daughter.
