I have a very vindictive ex. We have a court order saying that we each need to give the other notice of travel abroad with our daughter, 8 weeks notice, and the other can give consent or object. It doesn''t say what to do if vindictive ex husband says he objects and doesn''t give consent.
ex is objecting saying people he knows got ill travelling to this particular country, but doesn''t say what illness. I have checked with the nhs and there is no issue, its perfectly safe. So I think I need to apply to the court very quickly to get courts permission to travel in spite of his objection. I can''t afford a solicitor. Please can someone advise me as to what form I need to fill in at court, and please let me know if you have any experience of this nightmare situation!

Hi, sorry I can''t remember the name of the form, but I did it a couple of years ago after my ex decided I shouldn''t take the kids to Spain for a fortnight.

Complete the form yourself, it was very straightforward, the fee was a couple of hundred pounds I think. My ex''s solicitor wrote to me with consent a day before it was due in court, but I went to court anyway. The judge just sighed and shrugged his shoulders and gave me the order. Turns out that because I left it that bit longer to book flights they were cheaper in the end, which covered the court fees ;-)

Numpty. What parent doesn''t want their kid to have a great holiday? Grrrr!

Hi, thanks so much for your quick reply. I will do this on Monday at the local court. It''s a nightmare, its a control thing with him. I am just a bit worried about timings as we are supposed to travel in mid july, but I can tell the court this. Did you ask to get your court costs paid by your ex? The 200 pound court fee? Or is this a non starter?
thanks, there is hope!
