I have just been told my my 12 year old daughter that my ex is letting her walk along the road to a coffee shop where she waits for an hour every night on her own until gone 5. Am I over reacting? My daughter is a naive well developed easily led lovely girl!!! Doesn''t my ex see the dangers ? Doesn''t she read the news ?
I have tried talking to my ex about it. She says that my daughter doesn''t want to go in the after school club. Who is the adult here ? Surely safety is the biggest issue. Sorry for the rant but I am so stressed by the thought of some guy grooming my beautiful girl. Any advice other than calm down? Thanks everyone

Could your daughter just go home rather than a cafe?

Does she know anyone working at cafe? At 12 unlikely school would have an after school club but if she needs somewhere to stay safe after school most places would allow children to wait in library.

Thanks. The school does have after school up to age 14. This school is in a busy street I''m just terrified. I will check out the library though.
