due to the ex denying me the children''s passports I find myself here asking of any other experience of such difficulties and how it is best surmounted? is is possible for the children to have two passports, does the passport office allow this? My children are subject to a Sec.8 CAO which I did see on the application form as being a proof required in application.
Thanking you all for your thoughts.

I would suggest you first off, write a letter to the other side requesting the passports for [holiday]/[to open bank account]/ whatever the reason is. If it''s a holiday, reassure them of the return details. Remind them that the passports belong to the Home Office, and not the parent who is holding them. Suggest that it would be better for both parents if the passports were lodged with a local solicitor, and a written request signed by both parents or the relevant court order is required before the passports can be released. If this request is not met, then your only otion is to seek a Specific Issues Order to allow the passports to be passed to you, then to be lodged in future with a local solicitor.

It''s not possible to have two British passports for the same person.

Ah, specific issues application - just what I was fearing.
Yes, have tried writing in attempt to negotiate and I do have the right to travel with the children via the Order.

Alas.

thanks as ever Ruby.
