Hi Everyone,
I wondered if anyone has come across the communication method through Talkingparents.com? My Ex goes through phases of sending me abusive and bullying texts and emails and this service was recommended to me. All correspondence can be sent through this messaging service and apparently you receive an email alert when you have a message. If there are any issues then you can purchase a printout of your record for a nominal fee. I'm hoping that if my Ex uses such a service, then his behaviour will be moderated and he cannot dodge maintenance payments without it all being flagged up - he currently behaves as though no-one will ever know how nasty he is being. The basic service is free, but it's an American website and I don't know if that has any implications. Perhaps there's a free UK equivalent? If anyone can provide me with any info on this kind of thing I'd be extremely grateful :)

Hi, never heard of it. My ex does the same.
I don't get the benefit, why pay when you can just print out your texts and emails anyway?

I think the idea is that you don't have to wince every time you get a text message alert on your phone.... and also they (our Ex's) know that all communication is in one place and can be closely monitored if needs be. I reckon him knowing that would probably be enough to moderate his behaviour and with any luck I won't ever need to pay for a record to take matters further. Hopefully someone else can enlighten us further!

Ah okay. I guess I'm quite over it now and my STBX's messages don't impact on me so much. In fact some of them are priceless and have really helped me in court. Funny thing is that even though he gets served the transcripts of his messages before the hearing, so is well aware that they are being used against him in court, he just can't help himself... But send nasty threatening messages.
