What are we each entitled to in our divorce settlement?

What does the law say about how to split the house, how to share pensions and other assets, and how much maintenance is payable.

What steps can we take to reach a fair agreement?

The four basic steps to reaching an agreement on divorce finances are: disclosure, getting advice, negotiating and implementing a Consent Order.

What is a Consent Order and why do we need one?

A Consent Order is a legally binding document that finalises a divorcing couple's agreement on property, pensions and other assets.

Hello

My stbx is still living with with us. I applied for non mol in Feb and it is valid for 12 months. I felt sorry for him in Feb and didn't ask court for occup order despite all evidence there. There was a hearing in July and judge couldn't order occupation order as there was no statement from me (self rep, didn't know I had to prepare a new stat). Another hearing in Oct, I had a barrister there. Judge said that already in July I should have produced an application for occupation order and the other judge should have said that. I applied again for Occupation Order and On 23/11 we have a face to face hearing, see attached notice. Social services involved, cafacs produced section 7 report. Ther is also hearing about finances on 27/11. Waiting for hearing date about child arrang. His mother has a 2 bed house down the road and he can go there. He has only been working last 6 months. Dint work for 5 years before that. He is an ex cop. I pay all bills including morgage and he doesnt give me a penny. I offered him 60/40 split and buying him out, he wants 50/50. Kids are 7,12.
Do I need to send another statement for 23/11? What can I expect?
