What are we each entitled to in our divorce settlement?

What does the law say about how to split the house, how to share pensions and other assets, and how much maintenance is payable.

What steps can we take to reach a fair agreement?

The four basic steps to reaching an agreement on divorce finances are: disclosure, getting advice, negotiating and implementing a Consent Order.

What is a Consent Order and why do we need one?

A Consent Order is a legally binding document that finalises a divorcing couple's agreement on property, pensions and other assets.

Mostly The judge in the final hearing has to be different and should not have to be the same as in FDR. But in my case in FDR judge converted the FDR into D11 applications and FDR doesn't materialise as Judge said this case is not fit for FDR and the matter is to be discussed and finalised in a trial in the Final hearing.

So my question is

1) If the judge in the final hearing has to be the local resident District judge of the local court where the case is listed or a judge from other courts can also take up the final hearing

2) Secondly when I receive the Court notice for a hearing then Can I request the Court not to appoint the same judge who chaired my previous hearings as we only come to know about the judge just 1-2 days before the hearing.

You can ask for that judge not to be the FH judge and give reasons. Usually it is clear in the order from the hearing that they won't be. This may not be so if your hearing did not proceed as FDR. They will have seen the paperwork etc but the court may take the view that this does not preclude them from hearing the FH.
