What are we each entitled to in our divorce settlement?

What does the law say about how to split the house, how to share pensions and other assets, and how much maintenance is payable.

What steps can we take to reach a fair agreement?

The four basic steps to reaching an agreement on divorce finances are: disclosure, getting advice, negotiating and implementing a Consent Order.

What is a Consent Order and why do we need one?

A Consent Order is a legally binding document that finalises a divorcing couple's agreement on property, pensions and other assets.

Hi, I'm looking for help! I'm divorced and still have a mortgage with my ex! I'm paying child maintenance and half the mortgage and struggling financially, She won't sell the house. Do I legally have to be paying both?

You need to post more details.
Rule of thumb is whoever lives in the house pays.
On what basis do you pay CM?

Do you have a financial order in place? If you don't it's a good idea to get one.
How big is the house? Would she be able to take on the mortgage in her sole name or at least cover repayments?
The mortgage has to be paid to protect your credit rating for now but it sounds like you at least need an end date for this. It may be sooner or later depending on the resources you have between you and your respective needs.
