What are we each entitled to in our divorce settlement?

What does the law say about how to split the house, how to share pensions and other assets, and how much maintenance is payable.

What steps can we take to reach a fair agreement?

The four basic steps to reaching an agreement on divorce finances are: disclosure, getting advice, negotiating and implementing a Consent Order.

What is a Consent Order and why do we need one?

A Consent Order is a legally binding document that finalises a divorcing couple's agreement on property, pensions and other assets.

If it is a written only judgment then it would be sent to you. If the judgement is delivered in court you can request a transcript or see if a written copy can be made available to you.

The Judgment was delivered in court, following which the applicant immediately raised an error of fact that Judge was dismissive about. Despite Judge refusing permission to appeal applicant is considering appealing. I imagine applicant will need a copy of the Judgment and a completed Form N460 to start the appeal process

Do financial remedy orders usually come into immediate effect. Reason I'm asking is because the order states "IT IS ORDERED WITH EFFECT FROM THE Decree Absolute THAT a) the property shall be placed for sale etc etc
