What are we each entitled to in our divorce settlement?

What does the law say about how to split the house, how to share pensions and other assets, and how much maintenance is payable.

What steps can we take to reach a fair agreement?

The four basic steps to reaching an agreement on divorce finances are: disclosure, getting advice, negotiating and implementing a Consent Order.

What is a Consent Order and why do we need one?

A Consent Order is a legally binding document that finalises a divorcing couple's agreement on property, pensions and other assets.

Hi there,

I wonder if anyone can help please? I'm sure this question has been asked before but it's regarding Form A. Regarding our divorce, we have come to an agreement with finances, it's fairly simple, a split of the house sale. We have one child. It's a simple divorce ( apart from this form!), we have drafted a Consent Order with solicitor so that's all wrapped up but it's just this Form A page 2 ...'tick the statement that applies'...
I'm assuming as we have agreed it's straight to ' proceed with the application in the DIVORCE'
I guess we don't tick the 'to apply for the court' box.
Opposite there is a list of options to tick, it says 'tick one or more of the following options...', can I ask what we tick here? Would it just be the 'settlement' option as no pensions etc or property adjustments are involved. I've read you have to tick all boxes?
As we have a drafted a consent order do we write on the form at the top For Dismissal Purposes Only'?
Also do we both need to fill Form A out separately?

Apologies for the long post! Any help much appreciated!
