What are we each entitled to in our divorce settlement?

What does the law say about how to split the house, how to share pensions and other assets, and how much maintenance is payable.

What steps can we take to reach a fair agreement?

The four basic steps to reaching an agreement on divorce finances are: disclosure, getting advice, negotiating and implementing a Consent Order.

What is a Consent Order and why do we need one?

A Consent Order is a legally binding document that finalises a divorcing couple's agreement on property, pensions and other assets.

Morning
Need to ask some questions wondered if anyone can help.
have posted a few times about various aspects of this mess so will just cover this issue.

I have instructed a mediator - only because I need them too provide court forms .
stbex is a knightmare and has previously agreed to how finances will be divided but backtracked when I had done everything !!!

Anyway he has stated that mediator has contacted him advising to get house valuations.
my points are this
I haven''t been contacted re this matter surely given im the primary contact they would have asked me to provide these ?
I have done this previously , got mortage quotes etc but he messed about that much they will need redoing.
It has crossed my mind that hes lying ?
AM dreading it too honest ive previously had too get police involved because of his behaviour but know hes going to sit there and say all the appropriate things.
Thanks in advance
Daisy

Hi

A quick update ,phoned the mediator company as it was bothering me and I was right hes LIED - I know its a small victory but this man has tormented me for years and finally someone else has witnessed it without me looking like a mad woman .
They are more than happy with the valuation I had done 6 months ago also proves how long hes been messing me about.

I know its only a small step that it probably doesn''t even matter but I feel better.
