Hi
Does can anybody help ref this.
My partner pa 15% to my ex wife for child maintence until his daughter is 21.
She is 19 now
She has decided to take a year off college (approx 15 month in total) she isnt working .
She states she cannot get job seekers allownace as I pay maintence.
The maintence is paid to her mother .
Does this sound correcr?

I'm not 100% on this but as I'm led to believe CM is not used to calculate benefits, it is disregarded (for example when I claimed housing benefit I got awarded as much as a friend of mine who gets £400 a month CM off her ex) as it's not considered a regular payment (in other words as it's not state benefit the NRP could just not pay it one month and then the RP would be scuppered)...as I said though I'm not 100% about it.
Sorry I cant be of more help.
