Hi all,

I seperated from my husband in October last year and in January, he moved in with his new girlfriend (now fiancee). I have stayed in the marital home with the 2 children (15 and 9). The eldest does not want to have any contact with him, but 9 year old speaks to him every night and spends weekends and usually half the school holidays with him.

My problem is I have to quit work beginning of December as he took the car and I used it for work (I live in a small village and transport isnt that great). Anyway, he and his partner live in the nearest city to us and I agreed to move there because jobs and transport is better and obviously contact will be easier.

However, I have no guarantor (he decided to quit work and lives off her benefits) and will be claiming housing benefit and I am starting to get really stressed over finding a place to live. Our marital home is sold and therefore I need to move out within the next month.

Anyone been in this situation and can offer advice. If I dont find a place, he ha already said he will take the kids and he doesnt care if im on the streets because im not his concern anymore.

Sally

Unfortunately I can''t really afford a car, I have asked me to give me the car as he doesn''t need it and technically its a marital asset but he says he needs it. Also he''s just got 16,000 from a sale of some land but he says I can have it when he gets another one.

I have no one to car share with, so that''s a no go either.
